Design Validation with Usability Testing
One of the key products in the Horizons Clinicals suite of hospital software was finally going to get some new technology behind it. The question for me was, how can we vastly improve the usability and utility of this product at the same time, with limited budget?
This was a great opportunity for me to apply human-centered design principles and techniques.
Usability testing helped identify key issues that people had with the software, so we could understand what interactions needed the most improvement. By assigning different levels of seriousness to different issues, we could find patterns and further prioritize our efforts.
